Chatham County 2018 legislative agenda requests state earned income tax credit

A state earned income tax credit for Georgia’s working families is requested in Chatham County’s 2018 state legislative agenda. Each year, the county commission highlights a list of important local issues for state lawmakers representing Chatham to address during the legislative session. Step Up Savannah, a nonprofit advancing¬†families’ economic mobility and financial stability, has highlighted the state earned income tax credit as an important tool to support more than 33,000 working families across the county.
