Moving the Ball for Georgia’s Working Families
June 29, 2016 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Thanks to everyone who made this event a great success!
There have been many exciting developments on a Georgia Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) over the past few months. We are eager to share, learn and collaborate on next steps as we build the public and political will around a state EITC.
Moving the ball for Georgia’s Working Families:
“Georgia Work Credit” Partner Gathering & Learning Session
June 29, 2016 – 10am-Noon
Hosted by the Atlanta Community Food Bank
970 Jefferson St NW, Atlanta, GA 30318
Free parking is available in front of the 970 building and along Jefferson Street.
Please note that this annex is located next to the main ACFB building.
The agenda will include updates from partners engaged in this work, an inventory of policymaker and strategic partner interactions, and collaboration around next steps. We are proud to announce that Lauren Pescatore, Senior Director of Communications for The Hatcher Group (www.taxcreditsforworkingfamilies.org), will join us to share some recent studies linking a state EITC to improvements in broader social justice indicators, new polling data and messaging best practices when advocating for a state EITC. Lauren has worked to promote working-family tax credits in states across the country and brings a wealth of expertise about successful EITC messaging.
Thanks to the Atlanta Community Food Bank for once again being a gracious host!
