Working families in Georgia should keep more of the wages they earn.

It’s time for Georgia lawmakers to deliver a bottom-up tax cut to hardworking Georgia families and pass a Georgia Work Credit, a state earned income tax credit. Over the last several years, Georgia lawmakers have supported tax credits for major industries including insurance companies, private jets and movie production. Working families deserve support too.

As wages remain stagnant and families working full-time jobs still struggle to make ends meet, it’s time for lawmakers to pass a tax cut for Georgia’s hardworking families. Georgia should join 30 other states and pass a Georgia Work Credit to build on the success of the national Earned Income Tax Credit.
